About Me
Sometimes we experience strong feelings that we don't know where to take. I will work with you in a therapeutic way to explore and express difficult or painful experiences, to untangle complex or confusing emotions and to find a way forward.
Issues I work with include grief and loss, family or relationship difficulties, betrayals or challenging situations at home or in the workplace, as well as low confidence or self-esteem. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and adhere to their Ethical Framework.
Do get in touch to arrange a free initial 40 minute consultation.
Qualification, Experience & Background
I have been in practice for 6 years. My core training is in person-centred counselling, a humanistic approach. Where I feel it might be helpful to you, I draw on other approaches. I have particular experience in short-term, focussed work. I have extensive experience in the field of bereavement and loss, having worked with CRUSE for a number of years. I am also an approved Anxiety UK therapist and work with a number of other Employee Assistance Programmes.
As well as a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, I have a Post-Graduate Certificate in Careers Guidance.
